🧩 SHUFFLE BOARD
HOW TO PLAY & TIPS
THE MENU
HOW TO START
Shuffle Board opens with the puzzle visible and ready for play.
Use Game Setup at the upper-right of the screen when you need to:
- choose Shuffle Board from the game modes;
- select a picture;
- choose the number of pieces;
- show or hide Stats;
- enter fullscreen play.
Choose from 9 to 100 pieces. Smaller puzzles are quicker and easier, while larger puzzles require closer observation and more careful comparison.
Close Game Setup and select Play in Browser to begin—or use Play Full Screen for the largest available play area.
HOW TO PLAY
All the pieces are already on the board, but they begin in the wrong positions.
Press and drag a piece to the position where you think it belongs. Continue moving pieces until the original image is restored.
Shuffle Board is about recognising:
- matching colours;
- image details;
- lines and shapes;
- borders and corners;
- visual continuity between neighbouring pieces.
As more pieces reach their correct positions, the complete picture gradually returns.
TIPS FOR ENJOYABLE PLAY
Begin with distinctive parts of the image, such as:
- strong colours;
- text or signatures;
- sky or water;
- shadows;
- buildings and doorways;
- unusual shapes.
Look for visual continuation between neighbouring pieces. A roof edge, tree branch, pathway, horizon or gradual change of colour can reveal which pieces belong together.
Corners and outer edges are useful clues, but Shuffle Board does not need to be solved from the outside inward. Start wherever the image gives you the clearest visual information.
Shuffle Board is ideal when you want a satisfying puzzle that is quick to enter, easy to understand and pleasing to complete.
Enjoy your puzzle.
BUTTONS and CONTROLS
STATS
Use the Stats control in Game Setup to show or hide the Shuffle Board statistics panel.
Stats record:
- your current time;
- your best time;
- your current number of moves;
- your best number of moves.
Hide Stats when you prefer a cleaner, less interrupted play area.
SAVE & PAUSE
After your first move, Save & Pause becomes available in Game Setup and in the fullscreen three-dot menu.
Use it when you need to stop while keeping the current:
- picture;
- piece count;
- piece arrangement;
- move count;
- elapsed time.
Your saved Shuffle Board game is restored when you return.
In normal browser play, select Resume & Return to Game to continue and close Game Setup in one action.
In fullscreen play, open the three-dot menu and select Resume Play.
CHOOSE ANOTHER PICTURE
In normal browser play, open Game Setup and select Choose Picture.
In fullscreen play, open the three-dot menu and select New Image.
Choosing another picture begins a fresh Shuffle Board puzzle. The new game becomes your current saved Shuffle Board game and replaces the previous one.
CHANGING THE NUMBER OF PIECES
Open Game Setup and use the PIECES control to choose the size of the puzzle.
Available challenges range from:
- 9 pieces for quick and simple play;
- through progressively larger puzzles;
- to 100 pieces for the most detailed challenge.
Changing the number of pieces starts a fresh game using the selected picture and replaces the previous Shuffle Board save.
FULL SCREEN
Select Play Full Screen from Game Setup to use the complete available display.
Fullscreen is especially useful on phones and tablets, but it also provides a cleaner and more immersive experience on laptops and desktop screens.
While playing in fullscreen, use the three-dot button at the upper-right to access the available actions, including:
- Exit Full Screen;
- New Image;
- Save & Pause or Resume Play;
- Restart Game, after completing the puzzle.
Puzzle position, time and moves are retained when rotating the device or leaving fullscreen.
On some narrow landscape screens, AANANTO may ask you to rotate the device so the complete Shuffle Board can be presented clearly.
